This is what they look like... You can find them on eBay in many different sizes and types, but the ones in the picture seem to hold the best and are the ones I am using. You'll have to cut a hole into the mats, the two circular pieces connect to each other creating a seal which allows you to use the other piece to set them in place, screwing into the carpet. I would send you a picture of my setup but currently I am unable. I think they are a very good investment for the type of mats I have, keeping them in place very well. I am not so certain how they will do with a mat made of a rubber material though, but it would be something to look into.
