Im not sure if there is a thread like this but....

On my 99 hoe, when I come to a stop and then pull away there is a "squeak" noise coming from my rear axel. Sometimes when I go over bumps the same noise is there.

I have pushed up and down on my rear bumper and cannot duplicate it.

I'm not convinced its my shocks or breaks.

Any thoughts?.... Thx

I had the same exact thing happening with my 1999 Denali, I replaced the shocks because they were blown and the noise was gone. So you might want to check those.

My shocks are original. So are the leafsprings... Any idea the cost to replace these? And where would you go?

bilstein. Check our summit racing. Around 50-70 a pop I think. Leafs just need grease or bushings

unknown at this time.
Times ten I am reiterating my emphasis on spring leafs that squeak against each other. if the springs are not sagging do using polyurethane bushing are stick some grease between the leafs. I personally use and recommend Edelbrock Performer IAS shocks but have been discontinued and are getting harder to find $80 each. Edelbrock 3303 for front , 3403 for rears on a 4x4 OBS.

I have a similar problem but not the squeak. It's more like a small thump that isn't always there when I pull out and it doesn't do it when driving or coming to a stop. Haven't got around to really looking into it cause it just started a few weeks ago and the weather hasn't been good enough for me to get on my back and look....
