I have a 2009 Denali that I bought 6 months ago, it was a pre owned Certified one as it had 62000 miles on it and from the minute I left the lot I had electrical issues. The car would simply black out, and then reset, I had it looked at and dealer said sorry. Well we were driving to Texas and low and behold the dash started flashing and check engine light came on, AC Stopped working and it tried to shut off, but we were going 75mph and it cycled through the shutdown, it was very scary. Now every 3-4 weeks same thing happens and I pop the hood tug on the battery cables and the car turns on, Dealer cant figure it out, and my warranty is out! I owe 35k on it and they keep charging me for the wrong thing. Obviously there is a short but why does it just black out? Battery cables ? AC goes off , idols rough and check engine comes on then turns off after 3 days....Anyone else having issues like this, I have read to change out the terminal wires, which I will do this weekend but, sad 43,000 for a car ad doesnt even function! WTF GM! HELP ME ANYONE! Thanks! PS I love this car is the issue! LOL!

Sounds like a bad cable. That has been found here on others as well. If you have any mechanical ability change the cable from the battery to the main fuses. Check the tightness of the fuses as well and look for corrosion on the ground cable.

A good place to get cable with terminals would be a alternator shop. They will make them for you the length you need.
Auto parts stores will have them as we'll.
get a new battery. I know the other is still good but just think of it as the heart of your vehicle. And if you owe 30k I am sure you will have it a while.

Total cost will be around 140 bucks. This will eliminate any thought of it coming from battery or cables.

After that if it still happens keep taking it to the dealer until you can lemon law it.

I 2nd the battery cables. It also could be a battery going bad too. It could have a loose plate causing it to short out inside causing the issues you are having.

3rd on either bad cables or they need to be cleaned and tightened. My Vette was acting very strangely, things would turn on and off, radio was inhabited by aliens. Thought the connections were tight but guess they weren't tight enough. Cleaned and really cranked them down and that fixed the problem permanently. Slightest variation in voltage can cause strange things.

You could go to an autoparts store to have the battery checked for free. Most places have a pretty decent clip on checker that does a good job.
