Ok so I am running the Walbro 400LPH in tank pump. I have a 4L80 trans with the Compushift II controller, ( the reason I am telling Ya'll about transmission controller is its on the same ECM-B "20 AMP fuse ". ) the ECU is also on the same fuse!

I was driving and my Tahoe just died a couple of weeks ago so I checked fuzes and found the issue and replaced it. And went on my merry way. Well the dam thing went again so I upped it to a 30 AMP and it blew yes I knew / Know there is an under laying problem but needed to wait till I had the extra funds to fix it.. Well we Atraced it down to much drawing on that dam fuze so we wired the ECU to a empty slot and also put a 20 amp in line on it. Well today I was sitting ideling and in good operating temps and the truck just died so I checked the ECM-B fuse which still has a 30AMP blade fuse in it. It was blown! What could be causing this? The Walbro pulls about 12-18 amps. Any imput? I am not an electoral wizard Please help me here guys

It is most likely a short of some kind either in the wiring or the unit itself. Putting a higher fuse than the 30 may risk a fire or it will burn up what is shorting out. I do this in my job if we have a bad piece of equipment in the field-putting a higher fuse rating in usually burns up the culprit of the short and just change it out. A lot of times the equipment looks fine and it is something internal that has gone bad. Also you can look at the specs of your unit and see what the resistance is supposed to be-then you check it with volt-ohm-meter and compare readings....good luck-electrical issues are a b*tch
