Straight water after the radiator install earlier today. . I have a gallon of prestone in the back seat.. its 100% not 50/50.. is that my missing element?

If this doesn't work im going to put an aftermarket gauge on it

If I were you I would drain the system completely and refill it entirely with premixed. Because now you have no idea how much water is in there to make a 50/50 ratio.

Not only water alone, can cause rust to progress faster than radiator fluid would.
