Hi all! So my OBD scan tool is coming up with no codes regarding my airbag light and I’m finding myself wandering in the dark.

While replacing my steering wheel I swapped out the clock spring and airbag light is still on.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Alrighty...got my new Innova 5510 to read the SRS codes.

Here’s what the tool found:

ACFDF6C9-8F82-412A-B85B-E9CBED485825.jpeg FE1E1039-F365-402D-B177-223BB5F98712.jpeg 48C67873-7A20-4208-A894-F6051A4FABD1.jpeg

The front impact sensor is easy (I think I just may replace both since I’ve still got the whole front end off and it’s easy to do so now).

The other two codes I’m having a hard time figuring out, so if anyone has ideas what to look for I’m all ears! Here’s the codes:

B0081-0F (Passenger Presence Module -signal erratic)

B1370-01 (Control Module Ignition On And Start Circuit - Short to Battery)

This last one is must be why my radio and lights stays on after shutting the truck off unless I shut the radio off first.

I haven’t had a chance to check the fuses yet, so hopefully it’ll be a simple fuse.

pull ALL the battery cable-connectors apart and your engine ground. Get your old toothbrush out and sandpaper.

I did that last year on my Donzi 35 CC with 2 huge batteries and it ran better than ever...

As Roger suggests, check your ground connections.

Under your center console is an airbag control module where your passenger seat sensor plugs into. Might check that to make sure the harness is plugged in fully.

Thanks for the tips. I’ve got a new battery and those connections are good. However I’ll check the ground as it’s probably all rusty like the rest of the truck is.

I’ll examine the module under the center console as well.

Tech-2 or VXDiag NANO or MDI with GDS would've solved that mystery in moments and you would not be throwing money at it.

The other 2 are history, not current. The only one that shows current is the impact sensor. Try clearing the 2 history codes and see if they come back. They could be from when a connector was unplugged and the ignition was cycled.
