Completely de-badging isn't an option for the simple reason that I want a small chrome element to offset the chrome trim on the esky bumper. Otherwise, imo it doesn't look right.
I think you're misunderstanding the objective ...namely to DIMINISH the visibility of the Hybrid appellation and not to overstate it. First thing I did before the truck even left the dealer is to have them remove the gigantic hybrid stickers from all the windows. Having done so, the last thing I'll do is get a cheesy license plate referring to anything Hybrid. Now I am trying to remove the ugly and partly green Hybrid badges from the rear of my truck, to either replace with the much more subtle Tahoe font, or to remove it all together and simply have HYHOE on the left which would only be meaningful to me and a handful of others.
Short of de-badging completely which I won't do, these are the two most understated ways I could think of to retain a clean and subtle look. Interpreting it as an attempt by me to emphasize the hybrid drive is simply the opposite of what I've been doing since I purchased the truck.
AHA! I saw a HyHoe yesterday and just couldn't believe that someone would add those stickers. What in the hell is Chevy thinking adding those stock?
