I also am a fan of OEM components, "CHINA CRAP" is infiltrating our automotive industry to the extent of affecting reliability, IMO. but ill stfu about that and say hopefully the starter will get you down the road and eliminate the current issue. Dont remote start? it may be the loss of a cool function but it is absolutely unnecessary. at 204k miles it is allready a success story so pamper it and see if you can hit the 250k milestone with pride.

Its like Christmas over here. Just looked outside my door and there it was a fresh brand spanking new AC Delco starter.

And yea I will definitely not be remote staring my truck until I get that thing checked out.

Forget 250k I’m looking to get 500k

To me it sounds like a problem with the remote circuits As it works perfect with the key. The sound sounds like the starter is still engaged after the engine is running yet is not with the key> I would check , does it do the problem with another remote (you have a second remote?) and the relay that operates the starter remotely might be hanging up, damaged wiring, bad grounding for that circuit. Another starter will still give the same problem as before.

Wow i never considered somthing as simple as a "sticky fob"? the remote start function stuck on based upon the fob not functioning "momentairly" but just "stuck on"? ie' coca cola spill

Remotes are all brand new. And it only happened the one time.

Chasing the noise/noises I Replaced :

**Serpentine belt (ACDelco)
**AC belt (ACDelco)
**Tensioner & pulley (ACDelco)
**Idler pulley (ACDelco)
**Starter (ACDelco)
**Alternator (Duralast)

And now it doesn’t make a peep starting up. might swap out the Alternator for an ACDelco though.
