Help window wont go down only makes a clicking noise

Hey my window doesn't go down anymore. when i push the button the door just makes a click click click noise for as long as i hold it down. Thats the only sound and only thing it does. Any ideas? I was thinking a new regulator/motor

yup, pull inner door panel off and check to make sure it's still on the track.

wouldnt i still hear the motor going or something move around inside if it was off track
