That damn Chinese or Taiwanese crap. This will be fuel pump control module number three for me. GM's quality is a joke. It is all about profit these days instead of demanding quality parts from their suppliers. So sad!!!!!!! https://gmauthority.com/blog/2021/0...lled-due-to-possibility-of-fuel-pump-failure/
Nothing’s perfect, but for a fully loaded SUV I will pay 42,000 for the 4 runner vs 80,000 + for another GM. Not interested in active fuel management and 10 speed transmissions and expensive equipment & parts to fail prematurely .There are stacks of rusted out and replacement frames outside the garage of our local Toyota dealer. They aren't optimal either.
Yes I see this these days, that’s why I am putting my trust into Japan vs Mexico / China / Canada. They all have issues trust me not just chevy. My wrangler has airbag recalls and oil cooler issues. The 2019 cherokee I traded for our current Tahoe had trans issues most of them were on recalls also. Its a part supplier quality issue that all the Manufacturers deal with none of them are immune to it.
The 4runner is not in the same vehicle class as a tahoe/yukon, so any price or other comparison is irrelevant. You need to be comparing to the Sequoia.Nothing’s perfect, but for a fully loaded SUV I will pay 42,000 for the 4 runner vs 80,000 + for another GM. Ok, well the sequoia still maxes out at 66,000 or so for the most fully loaded trim, has a solid v8 without AFM & the problems that follow, and a simple 6 speed transmission & electronics that dont need recalls & updates up the wazoooo. I don’t hate Chevy by any means, I always loved my GMs...but I think they are trying to hard to fast these days. They need to pay more attention to quality for the customer not quantity and profits. The 4runner is not in the same vehicle class as a tahoe/yukon, so any price or other comparison is irrelevant. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I couldn't disagree more. When I was shopping for a full size SUV I first looked at the Sequoia. However as soon as I glanced inside it looked like an early 2000s vehicle becasue it basically is. The tahoe has night and day better features, more modern, more comfortable, better mpgs and better towing, etc. I've had mine for exactly 1 year and have not had a single problem with it, not one. Zero regrets and I highly recommend it.Ok, well the sequoia still maxes out at 66,000 or so for the most fully loaded trim, has a solid v8 without AFM & the problems that follow, and a simple 6 speed transmission & electronics that dont need recalls & updates up the wazoooo. What year do you have? And I honestly don’t like the look of the sequoia. I like the tahoes up until 2019-2020 better.Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I couldn't disagree more.
