Here's one for ya!! Tire pressure low

So i just purchased a 04 yukon and the low tire pressure warning comes up in dash. Previous owner said he took it to dealer and dealer cant figure out why its on. Pressure isn't low and sensors are good supposedly. Any ideas what else to look at?

First, confirm that the sensor is actually good, and is the correct one for your truck.

sounds like maybe you were told a story so you wouldn't know you would be on the hook for a new tpms sensor, what does the dic show for each tire pressure?

ill have to look up the process and check them. i probably should have checked before posting this but ill check. i have a 08 silverado that tells me the sensor is bad, not that the tire pressure is low

you should be able to just press the black knob sticking out of the cluster and cycle thru

My '04 doesn't show the tire pressures in the DIC, unless I'm missing it somehow. The Tech 2 reads them and indicates them, but the DIC doesn't.

thats what he said he did, took it to the dealer and dealer said everything checked out

You might want to see about getting a good scanner on it to see for yourself what's going on. I use a Tech 2, made specifically for the range of years that mine falls into.

ill see what i can do, its not a huge issue but slightly annoying lol
