Welcome to the forum.

I am assuming you have a 5.3 engine but have no idea of whether is gas or flex fuel.

When I look up the cats at RA, the 2002 and 2005 cats are a different part number.

Have a 02 Tahoe z71
Converting it back to stock.
Also will a 05 Tahoe catalytic converters work for me? In CA
You may be way far off better to get a whole exhaust system off of a salvage yard vehicle than piecing the system together. Be aware that the CA emmission system equipped vehicle is likely a far different animal than non CA vehicle. So be careful when getting parts and verify that the vehicle you are getting parts from has the CA emmission label on the radiator shroud. Also verify that your vehicle is a CA emmission vehicle or you could end up chasing your tail.

I have (2) 2003 Tahoe LT's in the same color as yours.

I have aftermarket headers and exhaust. Converting it back to stock since I’m tired of dealing with passing smog
Before I got too deep $$$ wise in it I would check and make sure the vehicle is a California Emmission vehicle. There could be alot of things that are different and maybe stripped out of your vehicle that should be there for a CA vehicle. GM still using the old smog pumps on the CA vehicles? Is yours even there if so? With manifolds, Smog Pump?, Exhaust system, PCM and/or program, air pipes for Exhaust manifold and any other parts and electronics that are CA only all missing then this could get real pricey quick.
How does it work in CA if you buy a vehicle say in Utah that is rest of U.S. emmission system? Are they allowed to be registered in California?

I took off stock headers and exhaust when I bought it. I planned on putting a whipple on it but now it’s really hard to find someone that can help you “pass” smog.
