I'm not risking it unless I swap to a piaa housing or modify the stockers.

hids run cooler than incandescent bulbs. particularly with 35w (which is what you'd want on fogs) you'd be more than OK.

Just got them shipped in today. I'll put them in tomorrow. Hopefully I don't need that harness.

I know but I'm still concerned about melted housings as some people have had issues, also the 55w fogs may be a bit much I already get flashed with my 35w 6000k before the one stopped working.

they aren't working. Imust need the harness

Did you get them for the lows or fogs? With the 880's, you have to insert the little wire tabs into the + and - slots, and if they are reversed they won't work. I managed to do that to both lights last night on install. Work fine now, though, no harness. 55w is brighter then hell in the fogs with no focus. Can't run around all the time like this. But, here's some pics:

Just fogs from driver's seat:

Outside shot. I forgot my tripod and it was -15F, so I didn't hang out outside trying to get the perfect picture....lol

From a driving perspective, they add a lot of light to the equation. I won't drive with them on all the time, as they are just too bright. No heat issues after running them almost 2 hours straight, but then again it was -15F.....lol. It was a bit more of a pain then I thought it'd be accessing the fogs. Had to jack the front end of the truck up. But install was straight-forward.

What color temp are those?

5000k, theoretically. Since they're 55w it washes most of the color out. They match my 4300k lows pretty darn well. They aren't as uniform, though. There are odd spots, probably from the fog reflector, where they look more blue.
