So I was driving home tonight through mostly rain. It made for tough driving conditions since my headlamps look so dull with light. How much would a set of HID lamps run me?

Depends on how much you want to spend and if you choose to do it correctly. Tons and tons of threads on here.

Do you just want to throw HID bulbs in your existing lights? What are you driving? If you don't have projector headlights, you should get some. If you don't, most of us won't want to help you blind the rest of the world.

Thanks for the quick response. I have a 01 Tahoe. I want to get the entire head lamp replacement set up with the circle projectors. Do you know a ball park figure?

Yeah, what he said. It is possible to get decent lights for about that.

I'd recommend you look for DEPO brand aftermarket headlights. They are pretty good quality and tend to handle HID's better than most others.

DDM has good prices and generally I think their products are pretty good. However, they have started shipping direct from China, so it takes a while. The last bulbs I got were in a crushed and mangled box that took about 3 weeks to get here, so I probably have made my last order with them.

For bulbs, I order them from http://www.theretrofitsource.com

They aren't quite as cheap but are good quality and you actually get the color you ask for.

I run these HIDs, I have DDM on my motorcycle but I like the Xentecs on the Tahoe. They seem the exact same to me. I have talked several buddies into the Xentecs over DDM. DDM was terrible on shipping times. Xentec was there in 3 days.

So you're looking at less than 175.

I just went ahead and place my order on the Xentecs thanks for the link :Handshake:
