Yep like Serge said first step is to find an aftermarket set of clone oem housings first off bc apparently you can't easily open up the factory housings.

Well you can still do that (My Esky's got em stock...) and you CAN still buy the aftermarket projector's with a housing... they just don't make any quality ones. The good ones are all hand assembled and custom made with the exception of Black Flame Customs who charges $1k for a set.

And you're very welcome. :handshake:

tyc??

Yup, just seen them on Ebay......

I meant to ask you guys how do you remove the head lite assemblys on this truck? After replacing the condensor and adding electric fans to my 2000 Esky I am able to remove nearly the whole nose blind folded but I took a quick look at my new truck the other day and didnt know where to begin....smh

Notwithstanding the aftermarket headlamps in the video, it does show you how to remove the housings: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ds6SMLIFS4

Thanks, what do you think of the the housings in the video that you sent me?

BTW what a pain the ass! With my old truck there were 2 philips screws that were easily accessible, heck with the hood closed you can remove the housings! I can see this is going to be a problem when on the road and bulb goes out! I used to keep an extra bulb in my glove box and could change it anywhere.....

Let me ask you something, dont you need to remove the inner fender to get to the two bolts to loosen to bumper?

Not that great. Too ricey for me. And if you ask the people on here, they will tell you the light output is not great...

Don't have to "remove" the inner fender, but pull it back a little

Yup, you need to peel back the liner.

And the reason you can't get the lamps out with a screwdriver and the hood closed any more is cause people kept stealing them. I don't mean just from your type of truck, I mean in general. So now have to jump through hoops to get them out cause car manufacturers changed their attachment points to prevent it.

And those aftermarket housings are terrible. I think Regency has them and he'll be the first to tell you that the output is poor.

He is going to need a bottle of advil and will probably change his name when I am done asking questions! LOL

I cannot believe how out of I am! When I was young I drag raced, had crazy sound systems, competed in DB drag, sold car accessories for 3 years and now I cannot even put HIDs in my truck! I was to "go to guy" whevener any of my friends needed anything car related..... I am getting old! Like sucks! lol
