High beams on and so are my low beams at the same time.

Thought I would put out what I did to my 1999 Yukon to help others. It is great to have flood lights at night WITH BOTH HIGH BEAMS AND LOW BEAMS REMAINING ON. There are a number of ways to do this but utilizing a relay is best I believe.

First and foremost, I purchased Xenon headlights ( low beam ) here...

I also purchased LED lights for the high beams. You want LED's because xenon requires a few seconds to warm up and so not so conducive for high beams that often require instant full brightness or power...

Then here is what I did for an always on low beam when you hit the high beams...

Hope this helps someone. Here are some other parts I had at hand to complete the task...

I have a question about the LED lights you used for the high beams.
Is the illumination pattern consistent and even or are there hot spots and dim areas?
Have you checked or photographed them in a parking lot or against a large wall?
Thanks

(I have spent more time than I care to tally swapping bulbs in my Volvos, poor bulb life has caused a number of people to try various LEDs but the results have been less than stellar The consensus seems to be that - for even "OEM look" light that doesn't blind oncoming traffic- the reflectors need to be changed and/or the bulbs need circumferential LEDs to produce even illumination.)

They put out a funnel shaped light. I don't recall a blind spot. When combined with the low beams my old eyes are very content though.

Also note that I have new lenses as well so I couldn't possibly give you a good answer for this. But I am very satisfied with the intensity of the low beams and love my high beams as well. Here are the lense I purchased...

Thanks, I replaced my headlights in 2009 and really dislike the look, very odd reflectors. And I have spent several hours polishing up the others but the silvering is faded. So these are great!
And thanks for your answer about the pattern, after i get the Tahoe all lit up I am thinking od trying a set on one of the Volvos too.
