So, help me understand a little better. From what I gather, Nelson Performance will send me a complete PCM that i plug and play whigh is preprogrammed with a performance tune. this way, if i need factory work done I can put my stock PCM back in.

Does BB do the same thing? Also, how do you get different tunes when using the tow haul button. We had something like this for the Titan and Uprev but it used the cruise control buttons to switch between 5 different tunes. is this PCM change, or is this a full tune loaded via PC and cable to the OBDII port?

Also, what is the pricing? Sorry for all of the questions.

We do the same as you describe, which is the traditional tune. We also offer two other options, a scan cable tune and the AutoCal.

Scan Cable: With the security deposit, we send out a data logger, to be used with a Windows based Laptop to collect data. Then, using that data and an order form that you complete, we complete and ship the set of computers out to you to be installed.

AutoCal - All tuning is completed by email with this option. The AutoCal is used to collect data from the truck, much like the scan cable tune, without needing a laptop, and all tuning is completed based on that data. I have the AutoCal and I love it. You get a handheld tuner that can store up to 5 tunes I think. You can read codes off of OBDII vehicles. Takes a whole 2 mins to switch out tunes. You get 4 tunes for the price of $549 and additional tunes for $100 I believe, which is worth the money to me.

This is the tune ive recomended to all of my friends with these vehicles and the ones that have gotten them are really happy with it.

Thanks guys. Sounds like Autocal may be the best option. Does Autocal also have a "return to stock" setting? If I read everything correctly, I pretty much get a handheld tuner, plug it in and do some datalogging, send the files back to BB, and they will send me things that I want based off of the data they are looking at. Something like, 87 Tune, 89 Tune, Track Tune, and stock tune.
