hitch step

I am looking at getting a hitch step to get easier access to the roof and protect me from the dumb ass people who parallel park by feel in NYC.
Does anyone know if it will mess with the sonar parking thing?
Also most of em are damn ugly! any suggestions on one that dose not look like crap?

It sure does mess with the parking assisst. I have a black one on my
2010 Z71 and had to disable the system. It's worth it not to get any
scratches on my bumper. I live in NYC too.

These are the reasons I'm glad I don't live in NYC or a city similar. I'd go insane with people constantly hitting my ride cuz of their stupidity!
