I got in contact with him yesterday and my module should be shipped out on Monday! Hopefully I can take out the old one and put in the new one myself. Hopefully it won't be too difficult!

I did not get the phone mirroring because I can do that by plugging it into my rear entertainment and when I get the new module it will show up on my front screen. Plus he said there's more to the set up with the mirroring option

You mean by doing the HDMI out and then converting to composite cables and all that right?

Very confused module...
I called and is like well if you want to do this you get this but if want to that...
I want to do it but I'll just wait for a more simple module.
I'm in the Car Audio business and is the same thing with my supplier. They all pretty much the same price $300 to $400

So I've had my HMI module back and installed for almost a week and it works perfectly! It's always on and never have to press buttons to activate it! MVI is great and he gets back to you right away for any problems. I had ALOT of questions and he texted me right back!! I'd recommend him to anyone!!!

So you do NOT have to double tap the rear defrost button to activate?

No RT it's always on and never have to hit anything! You can even access the vehicle options in the settings on the 8" My link and access anything that's blocked out normally when it's in drive. It also gives you 2 options when backing up in the camera. It has the usual image and has just a dotted line in the direction your back up camera on the screen. It's by far the best video in motion I've ever had. I used to have the Coastal Tech where you had to hit mute 4 times then go into a menu on the dash but this one you literally have t do nothing! It's nice because I can pass through the previews and put a movie on for my kid's instead of having to wait and put it in park! Any questions let me know and I'll explain what I know

Thats the beauty of the HMI programming its not some aftermarket junk box that can brick your radio if the dealer tries to update it or lockout features in motion on the escalades; this is the real deal OEM parts with custom programming. It also add features to the system as well (backup camera in motion, video file formats etc) For 2017's you get the ability to play video from USB BACK as well as Pandora back and app shop in motion etc.

My next process is to get the HDMI set up in my console to mirror my phone. You can have it shipped to you and install it but that's out of my capabilities and hopefully he will be able to find a shop in my area to do the install. There's a few on this forum that have had it done I believe.
