I know what you mean Angel! I'm busy with my kids and all these mods add up especially since I've barely had my new Suburban for a month! You're a bad influence lol you have me wanting to do all kinds of stuff after seeing all of your cool mods!i just wish I could do more myself because I would save a lot more money!

Yeah BlackDenali you pull your HMI module that's behind your glove box and you can either send them yours but your vehicle won't operate or you can have them send you one that's already programmed and then send your locked unit back but that will cost you more money. I had them send me one that was already programmed and then sent them my locked one back. It cost more money but it's a lot easier than leaving your vehicle that won't work until you get your module back. But if you can go a few days without having to use your vehicle for a few days you can save some money

Thats the beauty of the HMI programming its not some aftermarket junk box that can brick your radio if the dealer tries to update it or lockout features in motion on the escalades; this is the real deal OEM parts with custom programming. It also add features to the system as well (backup camera in motion, video file formats etc) For 2017's you get the ability to play video from USB BACK as well as Pandora back and app shop in motion etc.
From your comment it sounds like 2017 custom programming is now ready?

You scaring me... so you are saying the truck won't start or drive with out this unit?
Crazy! My wife's 2016 GX 460. During the summer the whole screen went out while driving. At least the truck runs with out the main/radio/climate/Nav.
I jumped on the forum and you guys won't believe what happened... it was nation wide some guy or girl send out an update on the Lexus Link and every truck in the nation was rebooting at the same time.
Talk about how they how you in control.

Yes install was pretty easy after locating the HMI up behind the glove box and its plug and play. The blue navigation part you have to kind of pry off which I didn't really know. But install shouldn't take you very long.

Yeah don't pry the blue gps plug, it will come off the unit which it's not supposed to. It has a release just like the rest ;)
