My next process is to get the HDMI set up in my console to mirror my phone. You can have it shipped to you and install it but that's out of my capabilities and hopefully he will be able to find a shop in my area to do the install. There's a few on this forum that have had it done I believe.

And this is the part that he confused me. When you get this other part for mirror image. The one that you have is not going to work anymore? Why can he just make one whole unit...
He confused the hell out me when I called. Mirror image front or back, unlock while in motion, driving forward with rearview camera on for towing purposes.

It works just fine with the mirroring input, you use RSE for the mirroring you NEED the HMI unlock to use it in motion.

But why that's he needs to get another unit? He already bought one that does what? Don't pay no mine just trying in my head to figure out ... will research when I'm ready.

You need a module to take your phone video signal and convert it to RCA for the 2016 and older trucks. Honestly most people don't even do that anymore since Car Play/AA etc.

So do you still use the RSE I put in the rear for mirroring if you buy the extra 225 upgrade?
