yes. Double = $7k for an old SUV is different than someone paying double for your $70k truck.

Who said $7k = double?? I seen others mention $10-12k. It is a stock Tahoe which yes it is clean but nothing exciting.

Buying a modified vehicle for over book value makes sense if it exactly what you are looking for with the exact components you want, you will actually come out cheaper doing it that way. Buying an old stock Tahoe for way over book value makes zero sense as you could buy something newer with potentially less problems for the same price.

Yep - that's me!

As to the cost, I can honestly say it was the best value FOR ME I found in a very long search for a very specific set of criteria.

I couldn't be any happier.

Someone said it was undercoated. How can you tell? Is there a tell-tale sign? I assume that's not a bad thing if you don't have a salesman sticking it on at the end of a transaction.
