Hood Trim Loose

I was driving on the highway yesterday and noticed a vibrating sound coming from the front as soon as I got over 65 mph. I got home and checked for anything loose on the front and I found that one of the clips that holds the front top grill trim to the hood has broken from behind and is allowing the trim piece to vibrate against the hood at speed.

Any ideas on the best way to secure it back to the hood? 3M adhesive tape for spoilers? Or are the clips readily available and easy to install?

I got restless and decided to go with the 3M trim double sided trim tape to fix this. I'll update with whether or not it fixes it. Below is the issue and what I did :

This is the clip that broke off the back of the trim on the front of the hood:

Here is the slit in the hood where the clip secures the trim to the hood:

I used a very small piece of 3M trim tape that I trimmed down to the exact size of the top of the clip. This will be placed between the hood and the trim:

I then used a single clamp to hold the trim down to the broken clip:

I have a drive in about an hour so the clamp will be on the hood for about that long. If the tape leaves any sort of gap between the trim and the hood it's going to continue to rattle and create the same noise at speed so hopefully it's compressed enough.

I know that no one else is checking out this post but just in case someone searches for the same issue and comes across this I wanted to close it out and let you know that the tape worked. I had it at 70 mph for an extended period of time and there was no noise from the trim rattling. I had the clamp on for just over an hour and there's no looseness in the trim at all. At some point I will have to replace it entirely with one that's not broken but for now you could never tell that there was ever an issue.

Looking back I'm pretty sure that this broke when I took it through a car wash after the last snow storm. It seems like the brushes were hitting against the body significantly harder than usual and I believe that the water in the core of the car wash brushes was still frozen and adding some extra weight. Brush-less car-washes from now on.

Im looking at it but your pics are private and what trim are you talking about? There is no trim on the hood of a tahoe.

I am guessing he has a Yukon.

I don't know why the pictures are private. I'm working on fixing it now but it's a Yukon Denali and the trim that I'm talking about is the chrome top of the grill. On the Denali it's actually mounted on the hood.
