So I just noticed this, my 22 yukon the hood is not flush to the body on the right side (looking at it from the front) what causes that...so that I know what to say when I take it back to the dealer, looks like it's factory defect..vehicle is new..about 4600 miles....
Let the body shop at the dealer fix it.

Moving the hood back on one side only, will also move the front of the hood sideways. The hood is a rectangle, it can't magically turn into a diamond, unfortunately.

you might find that you can bend the corner of the fender a bit, up, down, in, out, etc, using your fingers. Do this very patiently, see if you can get it to line up a bit better. Don't expect miracles.

Right. That's why the fenders, grille, headlights, etc. are all adjustable. We can only go by what we see in the posted pics. Once the dealer looks at it, they might determine that the fender just needs to be slid forward. But that'll affect the gap at the door and the reveal of the headlight housing. The simplest adjustment would be to rotate the hood if that is, in fact, the fault. To fix the uneven fender-to-hood gaps, they'll slide the rear of the LH fender inward a slight amount and/or the front out and perform the opposite with the RH fender. The door gaps wouldn't be affected. It depends on what was installed and aligned after installation and aligning of the previous part. Or, the hood is a mis-stamp.

Not to mention, sometimes screwing with this kind of stuff makes something else even worse while they tell you its fixed!

Not sure what that is...
when you have the hood open typically there is a rubber stopper on each side on the upper edge of the fender just back from where the curve is on the hood, these rubber stoppers can be adjust up/down so the hood when closed has a little flex and can be adjusted slightly.

I adjusted the rubber stoppers nothing has helped...and the hood does not look warped at all..

Why not have a dealer look into it vs trying to adjust yourself? Unless it is out of warranty? If dealer screws it up they are on the hook for fixing it, vs if you work on it and damage it, then youd have to pay to get it fixed.
