That's because it's this cold a few days every 5-10 years. Otherwise we have July, August, and September with multiple, if not contiguous, 100+ degree days...People tend to forget that it gets cold there

All I can say is condensation is way better than some of the other fluids they could freeze up from. Just sayin'...-9F in Chitcago western suburbs. Not too much wind luckily, but my guess is it feels more like -12F.
When your boogers, mustache, and eye brows all freeze up with condensation, it's a real good time.
