how do i fix the hanging brake wire?

noticed my brake cable on the rear is hanging quite low lately. how can i fix this? i worried its gonna get caught on something on the mean city streets lol

I think there's a bracket that attaches that wire to your panhard bar....

They are for your parking/emergency brakes. I just had to replace my rear axle and just deleted my lines

Mine is secured to the rear axle (or is it the panhard bar?) with two heavy-duty zip-ties. Some stainless steel zip ties would be a more permanent solution. I'm sure that metal collar in the middle of the cable is for snapping it into a bracket, but I didn't see one on mine. Now that I'm thinking of it, I thinking it is attached to the panhard bar. Either way, whatever was originally securing it has failed and that's why the cable's hanging.

Mine is held in place by the 2 metal clips. The cable is in the center. I hope this helps. You should be able to get replacement clips at the dealer. I hope this helps

So, it IS attached to the panhard bar. I'm assuming those clips must be some crappy non-galvanized metal cuz they're both gone from mine and rust is virtually non-existent here. The zip-ties are holding, but they're plastic and they'll break soon enough. If I got some of those clips from the dealer, I'd coat them with a couple extra coats of paint. I'll be running a Spohn adjustable panhard rod eventually, so I'll just grab a few stainless zip-ties.

No problem. The last thing you want is for that cable to get caught on something.

If you can't find the clips, try a couple of radiator hose clamps !, just my 2cents
