This is strange. Last winter mine did not come on at all and been researching this. Today got in the truck and both were on in the middle setting for the first time ever and have had the truck for three years. Didn't shut off when the key was used though. Wonder if my temp gauge for the cabin is bad.

Any suggestions.

When I had my 2007 Yukon Denali my heated seats would only come on when it was below a certain temp. really cold with the remote start. But now I have a 2009 Escalade and my heated seats have not been coming on with the remote start and it has been cold enough. Anyone with a Escalade confirm this?

You can not program those things with the auto start. The auto start will turn on the air or the heat depending on the temperature inside the cabin at the time you start it. I don't remember seeing anything on the heated seats coming on using remote start. I know the air/heat is metioned in the owner's manual. I'm not near my truck so I can't check the seats part right now but if no one else confirms I'll check the manual tonight for the heated seats.

We are having very cold weather now on the east coast. On my 07 Tahoe LTZ the heated seats come on along with the defrosters on high when you hit the auto start.

taken from my owners manual:

"Your vehicle may have a remote starting feature.
This feature allows you to start the engine
from outside of the vehicle. It may also start up
the vehicle’s heating or air conditioning systems
and rear window defogger. Normal operation of the
system will return after the key is turned to the
RUN position.
If your vehicle has an automatic climate control
system, during remote start, the climate control
system will default to a heating mode during colder
outside temperatures and a cooling mode during
warmer outside temperatures. If your vehicle
does not have an automatic climate control
system, during remote start the climate control
system will turn on at the setting the vehicle was
set to when the vehicle was last turned off."

I think the magic number is 55 degrees ambient temp. However, the a/c compressor will kick on during all temps ive noticed...not sure why.
