I would like to remove the "GMC" off the tailgate and replace it with "Denali" but I am unsure of how to remove it and wha the paint may look like once i get it off. Any suggestions?

Heat it a little and find something to start prying a corner of it without messing up the paint

That much I know, I was hoping there was an easier more proven way. Maybe I will let the body shop take care of it. A 6pack is much cheaper then getting my rear hatch repainted! lol

Use a hair dryer, then use some joy or ivory dish detergent to wipe away all glue then put a lil wax over spot to protect the area then wipe clean and place new emblem.

If you can get it done for a six pack, do it!

Otherwise, heat it up and use some fishing line to go behind the emblem and "cut" the glue. The emblem will come off easily. Now you need to remove the remaining glue with some adhesive remover. Clean it up good and polish it after.

Before putting the new emblem on, make sure you clean the area well with rubbing/cleaning alcohol to ensure all residue and glue is off. Then apply the new emblem.

Good Luck!

3m eraser wheel is your very best friend when it comes to getting the adhesive off :deal:
