How Do You Remove the Armrests?

The leather on my front driver's side armrest recently cracked all of a sudden so I need to replace it. Do you just pull it out of the socket? 2004 Yukon.

Thanks but I was actually hoping for an entire replacement armrest instead of something that just slips over the old. Or did I misunderstand the video and that same cover can be used to replace the old leather? I searched for a complete one using the part number but it looks like it was discontinued?

It's replacement leather; remove the old leather and put new leather on. Richmond Auto Upholstery is another company. I used Richmond's lower front seat pieces to recover my 2002 Denali's front bottoms and they match perfectly. The backs were still in great shape as well as the 2nd & 3 Rd rows so now all my seats look almost new. You remove your old leather and reupholster using new leather. They also sell other parts like new foam, heater elements, etc so you can pretty much rebuild your leather seats.. My PayPal is...lol maybe hit the " like" and I won't charge!

Great I'll get to this project as soon as can then. Thanks for your help! One more question though...

I'm thinking about replacing the bottom foam as well when I do the bottom covers. But can I not just swap the foam between driver and passenger seats so that the worn in sides will be in the middle towards the center console? I can't be the only one that has thought of that so each side must be shaped differently or something?

I'm not sure- I'd ask one of those seat upholstery places. Myself, if I'm going through all the work to tear the seats apart and the foam is broken down, I'd replace the foam.

Good point... I guess it would suck to find out it wouldn't work when I have the seats all disassembled.
