The buffeting typically occurs in 40-50mph and 60-70mph. Our buffering issue always disappeared around 75mph+ vibration on the other hand was always 70+ which is typical with a lot of imbalance issues.

With that said most of our issues went away with new tires and wheels although the buffeting is creeping back now that we have 18k miles on the Michelin.

16 Suburban LS with 11,000 miles -- ever so slight vibration at 45 mph and minuscule buffeting. In fact, was not even aware of it until I read about it. Never had any complaints from passengers in truck. Traded for 17 Suburban LS and very nice ride. Drove from DC to Norfolk, VA and back in all sorts of weather with no issues. Have about 900 miles on her.

No issues here. 16' Yukon XL Denali with brand new 285/45/22 Bridgestone HL (stock) tires. People who traded in the 16' to upgrade to a 17' kept the old wheel and tire setup to put on the 17', and the new wheels and tires from the 17' were put on the 16'. It's a real pleasure to drive.

Curious...do you notice much of a difference between the 16 and 17? For example, Is the 17 100% buffeting free while the 16 had it if looking for it?

Just got a 2017 and drove it 5 hours after we got it. No issues with either. We had a rattle that was a loose roof rack, but other than that can't complain.

So far, no buffeting or vibration on the 17. Only difference between the two are the tires - Good Year vs. Michelin. Also, the 17 has the enhanced safety package while the 16 did not.

so the 16 showed some signs of it (buffeting) while the 17 does not?

I just traded my 2015 Sierra Denali with 60k miles and factory 20" wheels due to horrible buffeting (is that the same as shuttering or shaking similar to a misfire?). It also had very hard transmission shifting.

I traded it for a 2015 Yukon Denali. No shaking or vibrations at all. I also dont notice this tunnel noise that some others complain about.
