Sweet.

Make sure to wring it out on the highway. 80mph+. If there is any vibration at all it will show up there.

Is there a permanent fix for vibrations? For those of you who have tried the road force balance/new tires, etc. solution, did the "fix" work long term?

I just test drove a 2016 Escalade and it vibrates like crazy over 75 MPH. The dealer who drove with me thought it just needed an alignment. But I think it’s the dreaded “vibration problem”. I know there are fixes (that work on SOME of them), but my question specifically is for those of you who have actually been successful in eliminating the vibration problem. Was the fix permanent? Did the vibrations ever come back?

As much as you’re on here, you should know that there’s not! Haha jk
I’m no expert since I haven’t ever had this issue with either of mine but from what I do know is it could be tires. Something like Michelin and road force balance seems to help.

Next is something mechanical related to the rear end. I don’t remember specifically sorry.

The roof. They drop the headliner and reattach roof supports basically.

This is all that I’m aware of. How did it ride otherwise? How did the MRC feel? Was it certified?

I think some of what you mentioned is steps taken for the buffeting issue. I’ve heard they do road force balance and different tires for vibration issues too. However, my question is more that I don’t know definitively IF they are able to fix the vibration issue (with new tires/road force balancing etc.), is it fixed permanently? After the fix, does the problem ever come back?

I think the buffeting never gets fixed permanently, if you’re vehicle develops it.

So the one I drove was from CarMax so it was not certified, but it still has factory warranty and they offered their CarMax warranty which some would say is even stronger than certified warranties.

I really wanted to take it home today, but I couldn’t with that vibration. I think part of it is wishful thinking, but they said they would fix it by tomorrow. I doubt it, but they’re going to let me know.

Hopefully they can get it all fixed up! I think it’s fixable with different tires. I wonder what kind are on it.

I should have made note of the tires. Here’s a picture of it. I can’t tell what kind of tires they are but maybe someone else can.

those aren’t the same that’s on my Premier with 22s so maybe they aren’t OEM. I’m not sure what they all come with though!

I can't imagine Carmax using top of the line tires if they replaced them which may be part of the problem. I have also read several times on this forum and the truck forum that replacing the tires and road force balance cured the vibration on some of the vehicles. It will be interesting to see what they do to try and fix the issue. I thought there was even a bulletin on the "Chevy Shake".
sickk23 I think OEM are either Bridgestone or Continental.
