I can't imagine Carmax using top of the line tires if they replaced them which may be part of the problem. I have also read several times on this forum and the truck forum that replacing the tires and road force balance cured the vibration on some of the vehicles. It will be interesting to see what they do to try and fix the issue. I thought there was even a bulletin on the "Chevy Shake".
sickk23 I think OEM are either Bridgestone or Continental.

Thanks, I’m curious to see what the techs at CarMax come up with too. I told them to test drive it after they fix it to make sure it’s resolved, and especially before they call me to come back.

If they are miraculously able to fix it, with the typical road force balance and new tires, will the problem eventually return? I guess that’s my immediate question. Because if it still vibrates after they try fixing it, the decision is easy, I walk. However, IF they actually fix the vibration issue, then I want to know if I’m safe to buy it?

I've put about 6k miles since purchasing our 2015 Tahoe LT and most of it highway miles driving back and forth to Miami. No booming or vibration issues. We're on the factory tires of Atlas brand tires.

After my Road Force it has been okay. Even after being on potholed streets in NYC and New Jersey. The real test will be when I head back on I-95 to Miami at the end of this week.

2015 model with a 2014 build. 42k miles - bought at 28k miles. No buffering or vibration - even at 75. I also jacked it up with a 3in lift, 33x12.5 and some fuel tires. The tires make road noise, but that’s about it. I had a BMW 535 before this - and I have been satisfied with my tahoe. Did not do an extended test drive. I think I really lucked out.

Good to hear. On all of the ones I test drove the vibration wasnt noticeable until OVER 75. If you never drive over 75 then you're all good. Enjoy the truck!

Right now in Georgia and all seems okay. Had the Tahoe up to 90 mph earlier today in South Carolina as all the troopers were working a major accident on the northbound side.

Yeap South Carolina always is 90-100 without any problem.
My last 5 trips To Orlando I do not see any trooper out there .
Good luck getting back home.
