I have a Borla muffler on right now with an SLP tip, but I am considering switching to a 22" Magnaflow. I am wondering how much you guys paid to have the 22" installed.
I love the Borla, but it is getting loud and the old lady is bitching about it.

If the Borla is too loud, then the Magnflow will be too (with the resonator removed). I recommend you get the Corsa Touring or Sport. Sounds good outside with no drone inside.

FYI, I got the Magnaflow muffler installed for ~$120 including the muffler. This was a little expensive for my area, but I wanted it done right away.

Thats a pretty good price considering the muffler alone is $100.00 even on eBay.

The reason the Borla is so loud is that it is a much smaller muffler. The Magnaflow one that I want is 22" long and the Borla is 19". I had the 22" Magnaflow on my old Escalade and it was much quiter than the Borla even with the resonator delete.
I would LOVE to do a Corsa Sport or Touring, but I am just looking to do the muffler, not the whole cat-back. I spoke to Corsa directly about that, and they would not recommend one of there mufflers.

I just had a 22 Magnaflow installed on my 07 and kept the resinator. I like the fact it has some rumble but is not stupid loud. It kind of reminds me of the stock exhaust that was on my Trailblazer SS. I paid $100 for the muffler on Ebay and a local shop did the install for $50.

haha yeah i went to a shop by school (they give college student discounts) and asked for a magnaflow muffler for an '07 tahoe. he said $100 + tax unless i pay cash then no tax! haha so $100 even and i love it. I did keep the resonator cause i didnt want anything loud, just somewhat noticeable!

I'm also trying to figure out what to do.

I don't want it too loud, but yet I also find the resonator to be fairly ugly and want it gone.

I'm also not into:

dual tips (on one side)
dual tips (one on each side)
oval tips (single, dual, any)

Best I can figure is to buy the Magnaflow muffler, remove the resonator and buy a nice stainless tip (like a 3" in x 3.5" out x 12" long) -- but i think it'll be too loud for the family hauler.

Maybe I have to go with Dynomax like an old man?
