Agreed. Dealers won't give you what you want. If you shop them you can get then to play the bidding war, but you still won't get what you want. Case in point, I traded my last car for the Tahoe. When I was looking for a truck I was initially surprised with low ball offers of 4k for my car. It was a 2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged. It had every option except OnStar. It was in great shape and decent mileage. After playing the pricing game with a few dealers I only saw a 2k increase. A private sale would have netted 10-12k easily.

Also, I think burb is pretty close to the price you'll get for the truck. However, search Google for NADA. They have the pricing for every vehicle. It's determined by region too. This is the books dealers use. Don't even bother with KBB. That's all garbage.

Here you'd get about 20,000 mods or not. De-mod, sell mods, sell truck = win

According to NADA, $19,725 for poor quality, $21,400 average, $22,775 clean, $26,625 retail.
I would judge it average. I'll still stick with 19k special offer for anyone affiliated with the forum, though, since y'all are so nice!

Ya, my trade in offer was like 17.3k on autotrader. Private sale sounds a lot better to me!

I just traded in my stock 2008 LT (2LT) in with 74k miles for $24,000. I hope that helps!

Where was this at if you don't mind me asking? i am just looking for somewhere around $23,000 and have lower mileage plus LT3.
