Does anyone know the best way to change out an ignition cylinder in a 2001 Tahoe? The tumblers must be worn out, I'm no longer able to turn the key. Thanks.

I'm experiencing this same issue, I was told it might be the key or it might be the ignition cylinder itself.

Any suggestions??

I see a lot of topics go ignored, but to update this topic for future searches . . . I ended up calling a Triple A locksmith to come out. They cut a new key, and it starts up consistently, w/o issue.
On another note, the 2000-2002 keys were not equipped with pass-chips, so key replacement can done relatively cheap. I paid $40 out-of-pockect.
I would start with the key before bothering with the ignition cylinder.
