how to figure out what diff i have

i need help on where i can find what kind of diff gears i have. can i find out from the vin?

Im in the same boat as you are. Ill be interested to see what you do to upgrade your setup.

Every shop will be different. Go to a local shop and get a est. on it if you don't feel as if you could do it yourself.

My opinion. Don't bother putting money into the G80 and 10 Bolt. Find yourself a 14bolt SF 6 Lug axle. Swap it over. Ton's of info out there about swapping from a 10 bolt to a 14SF or 14FF.

yea i wouldnt change the gears then leave the govbomb in there.. i switched from 373s g80 to 456s eaton trutrac.
cost me around 200 bucks install from a buddy who does rearends allll day.
then it was like 1000 in parts after that

I'd defiantly get rid of the G80 for sure. Upgrade to a trutrac or something and some better gear ratio for your tires. Good informative video about the G80 for you
