Are we thinking of the same thing? What are you trying to acomplish here? I'm thinking you want to remove a stripped stud..

I do want to remove it if I could but I can't man...tried to grab the back of the stud with grips, plumbers wrentch, pipe wrench..nothing will grab that bastard because the lug is on so tight

So that's why im wanting to take the whole stud plate off and replace it with a new one

Ok look, hit it with a hammer from the front and that should push it loose towards the back and then you should be able to pull it out from the back of the axle.

Look at the pic again. There's a TIGHTENED FREAKING ASS nut attached that I was using to pull the stud into the stud plate my man

The back of the stud is smooth, no grip on the backside. I tried grabbing that **** with everything I got.

Just so you can see it, the part you are referring to is in fact part of the axle shaft.

Couple of options to help you take that stud out:

Is the lug nut snugged up to the axle or do you have some room in between the washers/lug and the axle? If you have room, try to get a hack saw or drimmel in there and start chewing away at the stud.

Have you tried getting some vise grips on the front side of the stud to break the lug nut loose?

I just did....that mf came off and my ass is sweating! Went and bought some bigger grips, muscled that phkr onto the back of the stud and used my big breaker bar...BAM..it came off

Thanks for the pic of the axle, that make sense now - so I'd need a new axle if I couldn't get a bigger stud in..that's wonderful

Ok BOSS, where are you at now. Is the new stud in? Or is the old stud still in place?

Got a bigger vice grip(10) and beat that ***** onto the backside...then gave it a 208lb push on the breaker bar LOL

STILL, this whole thing was: :supergay:

Got it out finally...thank god. I have 12 front studs too, and they are slightly bigger than the rears. Maybe because of increased pressure and heat? I dunno but I'm going to try and fit one in that rear stud plate because it might be slightly bigger now ..not sure.

Thanks to all you jumped in to help a brotha...damn I love you guys :gayflag:
