How to remove trans filter gasket?

didnt you just complete the filter/magnet procedure? I must not have read the thread correctly. oops!

I did. But that was only the second time in 24 years it's been done. The magnet was so completely covered in sludge it wouldn't have been picking up much, and I had a couple piles of sludge in the center of the pan. Filter and gasket is less than $20. My old girl is worth it.
