My insurance is great. If someone wants to steal my shit that badly, go for it. They'll purchase me an equal or better car. If they can't get it, they'll destroy it.

See that may be but we put work and alot of time into modding our cars and trucks the way we want them to look. Insurance will not pay you for that

They definitely will... at least mine will. I put 10k into a stereo, and when my tahoe was totaled I got all my money back for the actual components (the total I paid). Maybe it's my insurance company, who knows. Contact your agent to see what they will do to cover modifications. KEEP RECEIPTS. That's the only way I got my money back.

PS - my 2009 Denali has a steering column lock

When i had Geico they used to have mod coverage but you had to go to some location and have them take pics of the car I did it for my civic one time > I have to call Progressive and see what they say . Thanks

I'm sure it varies company to company. Just take your own pictures every so often, regardless you add or change stuff or not. They have no reason to say it was not on your vehicle
