How would you fix this...?

I just realized that the rear defog wire had come off from the window. I dont want to super glue it but i dont have a soddering gun.

Just curious what is the best way to fix it.

Pic 1: How it should be. Pic 2 & 3 are the problem. Pic 4: is where it should go.

take it to the dealer and they will fix it in less then 15min. mines came off to dont worry it happens sometimes.. under warranty too.


try posting in the general next time

You can get a rear widow defroster repair kit from the parts store. It is a epoxy with silver or copper mixed in. Super glue will not work because it does not conduct electricity. I did mine 4 months ago and it is still on. Should cost around $10.00

PETEY: Did you get it fixed? If you haven't or for anyone else, try visiting a Windshield Replacement shop. Mos of them have the proper glue that will conduct the electrical current.

No wonder GM is in bankruptcy. I went to the dealer with this problem about 6 mos ago and they replaced the entire rear glass. :emotions122:

Retards. But I am sure that is the S.O.P. The ***** about it is that they made him wait for a week and make another trip to the dealer.
