hydroboost brake questions??

ive got a 96 2wd hoe and i wanna swap to HB brakes..do i get it off a 90s heavy duty truck or can i use a 2001? and if i use a 90s will i be able to use 2001 master cylinders?

Get your generation of parts if you get the hydro boost from another generation of HD truck the boost connection to the pedal won't match! Btw get the pedal that matches the boost you bought. My post is literally two or three away from yours, did you not see it?

The reason I say that is I am going thru the exact same thing right now and screwed one up royally, just wasted a ton of money thinking I could just pick one up from any Chevy and put it in, you can't. I never read that anywhere

i read a few posts lookin to see if they had the answer so thats y i asked ..but yea ima try to get everything of the same truck. thanks

Yeah get all your parts off the same truck or order all of your parts for the same year, but more importantly get everything you need for your generation of vehicle. Like I have already stated on the previous post I stated that you "have" to get the power boost for your generation of vehicle and I wish someone had simply told me what I'm telling you now it would've saved me time and money. Maybe it's so easy, simple, and generic that people didn't feel like they needed to say something that basic, but hopefully this post will save people in the future, who knows?
