I guess 18.4 mpg is to be expected?

The wind only blows about 10% of the day in any given place on average.
I guess we're not avg. I drive this route at least 5 times per yr for 10 yrs. The wind always blow in west TX, that's why its covered in windmills/wind generators.

You almost sound disappointed.
I'm very happy :peace:

I do wish it had a bigger gas tank so I could tanker fuel from TX and skip buying fuel in the states that are more expensive (NM, CO).
Premium unleaded in Leadville, CO is $5.80, in TX its $4.55.

Mileage sounds about right especially if part of it was 70-80 mph. Air resistance gets significantly worse at that point. I've gotten mpg into the 20's staying below 70 mph.

2/3rds of this trip is in TX where the speed limit is never less than 75 mph, and 80 max.

I got back from a 400 mile road trip yesterday in my 2018 Yukon Denali and averaged 25.9mpg. I turned off AFM about 3,000 miles ago and my lifetime average is 20.7 mpg with 67,000. My 2007 Escalade would get 22-23mpg on the hwy.

This summer my 2018 Yukon XL got 22 mph on interstate 90 in Montana. Has a 5.3 though. Another 150 miles later mileage got to 24 mpg but I didn’t get a pic of that
