Sorry I don't know the tech terms.

I need to change the big hose at the bottom of the radiator that goes to the engine. I just filled the radiator so I could find the leak. What's the cleanest way to replace that hose so I don't have antifreeze everywhere?

Thank you!

Drain it. There is no clean way on these. On hondas theres a cap that releases it if taken out but not on these. Park out in somewhere you dpnt care or an incline and pull. U will also loose a lil bit of red fluid but not much

Ok.. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a drain plug or something like that.

wow,

there is a drain plug on the bottom driver's side. It's hard to get too, I didn't even bother when I drained mine I just took the lower radiator hose off instead.

And when you take the hose off, ALL the fluid is going to come out. It's at the bottom of the engine....

Put a 5 gallon bucket under the connection and pull it off. Then point the hose into the bucket. You'll only spill a little bit. :D

Do you guys recommend changing all the hoses or just wait? They look fine but so does the bad one.

unknown at this time.
bottom of radiator actually. there is still coolant in the block because the water pump on that hose is higher up. it is not at the bottom of engine. i remember a parts list describing a block drain, will look for it.

Yeah, I don't know how you would get the rest out, but that's a different subject. It's more than "a little red fluid".

If it were me, I would just change the lower hose. If the hoses are hard, then replace them. If they are still pliable and rubbery just leave 'em.
