GM bought back my 2004 Avalanche in 2004 due to a leaking midgate. The truck was leaking water for quite a while because it was a leftover. I should have realized when I saw the windows fogged from the inside. Picked it up on a Saturday, got it home washed it and the carpet was soaked. Monday it went back. the springs under the rear seat and the metal under the dash were coverd in rust. The dealer did everything to try and fix the leak to no avail. They even took the seats out and painted the springs! Repeated calls to GM left me frustrated as I sat on the phone for no less than 45 minutes at a time trying to get someone to talk to and when I did talk to someone I didn't get anywhere with them, just a runaround and a deaf ear. Finally I found a BBB website called the BBB Auto Line. Filled out the forms and submitted them. Couple of days later I got a call from GM to stop the suit and they'll take care of it. Which they did. They asked me to locate another Avalanche locally or they'll buy it back which they did. Shame was that I had to go through the BBB for them to take care of this. The dealership busted their butts trying to fix it and make it right. Still love GM trucks though and i'm a loyal GM customer. Bought 7 new GM SUV's and trucks since then!
