you run a shop and just referred a guy to buy online if he didnt like the price at a shop!!!!!!! lol.. you must be very secure with your job!!
I am pretty secure with my job. Any true professional sells their service not their parts. Most level headed people realize there has to be some mark up in order to function. On the other hand we don't have to gouge our customers either. Say a wire harness for an 02 tahoe Metra 70-1858 (assuming no bose/onstar or you don't care to lose it which most don't. ) I sell them for $15 retail, 12.5 to dealers as i do alot of dealer work... Buy the same plug at best buy and you spend anywhere from 20-35 depending if you are getting "free install"(which is never free)
I sell my customers my knowledge and experience first and parts second. Any shop that does this will build a great customer base and pleased customers have no problem with reasonable mark up.

To answer the other question...
The pocket i spoke of is just a storage pocket. To get your cable just cut a slit in pocket and put cable through.
As far as mounting phone where you can see you would just have to get one of the squeeze in style mount. You could modify said mount to where it screws in in the pocket as to not put holes in the dash.
If you have a direct ipod cable you should have ipod control through the radio thus not actually having to see the ipod...in that case just drop it in the pocket.
I actually use an external hd that is behind my glove box and also have direct ipod cable in small glove box compartment. I run dd touch screen so it is very easy to navigate the ipod on screen. Even the single din non touch screen kenwoods have a great ipod interface as long as you take the time to figure it out.

Ok, so let me get this straight.....I can remove my cassette player, build an Audio imput for my Iphone/phone/Ipod, install the storage spot thing, and thats it? What kind of wiring is required to adapt the Audio imput in place of the cassette player? I have an 01 Yukon.
Are you still running a stock radio?
Makes a big difference on if you need just an aux in or a direct ipod adaptor.
