If the previous owners took care of the truck, the interior wouldnt be rough!
and this cracks me up
They say its a "Great vehicle just needs a tune up and oil change"

So tell them to do the oil change, and tune up and get the CEL light off and to get an alignment. i nice fresh tuneup will cost you about 100 and some bucks, oil like 30, cel could be anything, alignment with big tires that need replaced between 40 to 75bucks..

a tune up is not guaranteed to turn off your CEL.

wow lots of info ;) thanks everyone

well I did a little wheelin and dealin and now their down to $2500. I should explain more on the interior. The leather seats are not ripped but are cracking, the carpet looks ok but I would change it out, the dash board has little small crack lines as well. But mainly it's all there.

I did forget to mention I held the brake and gave it gas to test the tranny and there was no slip underload and no back firing. although the acceleration was quite slow. ( low gas and it's been sitting for half a year is my guess )

Overall Im wondering if it's cheaper to just dump $2k in repairs over buying one with 140k miles that costs $6-10k. I live in Kansas and every Yukon/tahoe/suburb I find costs way to much if under 180k miles.

Also there is zero rust and basically no exterior body damages.
( I'll call them about the cel issue and request for transmission repair proof )

Edit: how can I check the cel code? and Their is no oil leaking ( but the oil pressure was 30-40 pounds )

so the interior more or less is just worn with age? i'd take it and have the codes read at a local autozone or whatever you have close to you. if its something cheap and simple i'd go for it. $2500 is a decent deal in my book.

I assume it is :)

Does any one else second this notion?
