I need the definitive "front bow tie removal" how-to, please!

I used the small Craftsman with the extended socket...put your hand in first, then "hand yourself the ratchet. I have big hands and it was a tight fit but I didn't have to remove anything.

That's exactly what I did -- to no avail. Again, I was definitely not grabbing anything back there. I'm going to have to try this again. 07Burb, thanks for that info!

try a 7mm thats what mine is take off nuts a 10mm holding the shroud and pull back all the room you need had the same problem then I loosend the shroud and pulled back and you wont break anything get some room and will be easier

5/8 is pretty big just changed mine and whole front grill all 10mm and 7mm on bowtie

I'm betting I'll need a 7mm back there, based on what I've found and the advice here. I bet I tried every size except for a 7mm. LOL

:Handshake: I'll go out on a limb here and say 98% of all nuts, bolts, retaining devices are going to be Metric on any newer vehicle no matter the make or model so I'd say you're guesstimation is correct on that Kirk :D
