So I'm changing my engine oil today when my neighbor swings by to talk to me. Just before he swung by, I had just grabbed my Locus transmission additive and I was holding it in my hand.

As we were talking I wasn't paying attention, and I began to pour my transmission oil additive into my engine oil port. (opps) Then with a fresh oil change, I ran the truck and let it idle in my driveway for about 3 minutes before checking the oil level. When I pulled the dip stick, I noticed it was covered in bright red oil and it dawned on me what I did. So after using every four letter word I knew in rapid succession; I removed the drain plug and filter to let it completely drain out while I ran to the store. I used my old ladies car and drove to the parts for for new oil and oil filter.

So after purchasing the most expensive oil filter I could buy, I put Mobile 5w/30 full synthetic like I always do. I let it idle again and checked for unusual smoking, sputtering, noise, or smells and everything seems fine.

Trany fluid stops lifter ticking, you can use it as long as you dont go a long time without changing it. so no worries

Yea and tranny fluid is a good rust presenter for engines that are sitting a long time without running....no problems running it in the engine for a few minutes.

I also softens seals and allows them to expand and reseal in places they allowed leaks before.
