I am looking for rocker panels for my 2002 Tahoe. I keep seeing references to purchasing crew cab truck outer rockers, trimming them and welding on a Tahoe specific exterior dog legs.

What about the inner rockers? I see they are sectional (2 parts per side). Are these the same as the crew cab inner rockers?!

I guess nobody has done rockers on these trucks?

Anyway, I placed a bunch of phone calls. The difference in the rockers is due to the shape of the rear doors meeting the wheel wells rather than a cab corner.

The outer rocker panels are in fact 99-07 crew cab Silverado rockers that need to be cut down and paired with a special 00-06 Tahoe portion of rear outer rockers.

The inner rocker panels are the 99-07 crew cab Silverado front panels that are paired with 00-06 rear inner panels.

I'm ordering the driver's side panels now. Once I install and verify fitment, I will order the passenger side.

I’m looking into doing this soon too. Mine are just starting to show rust. I’m assuming the inners should be ok since it’s somewhat early.
