Finally got all my stuff in the truck.

What went in...

Kenwood 6 1/2" 3 ways into front and rear doors
Kenwood 5 1/4" components into the rear pillars, with 1" Lanzar tweets (Kenwood tweets are in another car)
Added set of Lanzar tweets into front doors.
Polk 8" Dvc sub into stock location

Lanzar 4 ch amp
Lanzar 2 ch amp, bridged for sub

PAC dual aux input with 3 1/2mm head phone jack for iPod or phone
Scosche output converter

I had most of this stuff lying around from past installs so my goal was to use what I had to gain some better sound then the more then 10 year old factory stuff.

Here are some pics of the install

Connections at factory amp heading over to the line converter mounted just to the left of glove box in dash

Sub, I pulled the ring off of the factory sub and siliconed it in place behind the new one to gain the depth needed.

I didn't get any pictures of the door speakers but they just bolted up in stock locations, tweets got surface mounted over the stock ones but still behind the factory grille.

Last but not least I removed the factory antenna, ran a wire up the weather strip and installed the factory block off panel. All with no noticeable loss in stations.

Overall I am very pleased with the results, much more clarity over stock and the sub gives a bit more bump too!

...Next up, new overhead DVD monitor to replace the broken one.:rockit:

Thanks guys, it took longer then I expected. Doesn't help having a 18 mo son that limits my time to work on it, took me just over a week working about 2 hrs per evening on it.

I love taking my time with installs and making it look as clean and like it came from the factory as possible.

Do you by chance YouTube vid of the new sound? I just picked up a 00 Yukon and it desperately needs some new beats, especially compared to the system I had in my truck I just sold. So far, you have the cleanest install I have found.

Thanks!

No I don't have any kind of video of the sound. It is not the loudest setup out there but it sounds good at regular levels. I do need to mess with the sub, at louder volumes it rattles a bit against the factory plastic.
